Happy Thanksgiving

Posted by alconroy on Nov 25 2025 - 7:12am
Happy Thanksgiving Week,

Everyone should hear from their den leaders on the specifics of their responsibilities for Pack 129 Scouting for Food which will be Dec. 6 and 13.

A special message from our Cubmaster:

Scouts, November is a special month — it’s a time when we think about all the things we’re thankful for. But being thankful isn’t just about turkey or pumpkin pie. It’s about people.

Pack Meeting Friday at 6:30PM - Sock Fight/Clothes Drive

Posted by ckent on Nov 17 2025 - 8:50am

Hello Pack 129 Families,

We have our November Pack Meeting on Friday at 6:30PM in Fellowship Hall at WPC. It's a new event for us this year because we will be doing a clothes drive and sock fight for American Red Cross and/or the Carpenters Shelter depending on items they need. The idea is that families bring good condition clothing for donation and particularly balled up socks and after the meeting the scouts (and parents?) have a bit of fun with a sock ball fight all for a good cause. Also please bring your hiking sticks!

Our Pack Fall Campout is just aground the corner and I hope to see all of you and your Scouts there, where they can experience nature, take part in Scout activities and  enjoy time with friends outside away from screens.

If attending, please sign up on the Pack website at your earliest convenience, as it is important that we have an accurate number of those attending as soon as possible.

The campout will be held from the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 27 to the morning of Sept. 28 at the camping grounds attached the Coast Guard’s Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (TISCOM) facilities, located at 7323 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria, VA 22315. This is a new location and so details on navigating this site are provided below.

If this is your first campout, please review the camping FAQ page on the Pack website here, which provides a packing list and other information.  Speak to your den leader if you have any further questions not answered there, or feel free to reach out to me directly.
